In the book “The Bad Beginning” the story is about three kids and their life getting robed by a house fire. Violet Baudelaire, a fourteen year old girl, Klaus Baudelaire, a twelve year old boy, and Sunny Baudelaire, the baby in the family, In the beginning, the mom and the dad die in a house fire and the kids are forced to live with an evil man named count Olaf. Count Olaf is trying to steal the Baudelaire family fortune by marring Violate and then plans to kill her. During this process Violet goes through many tasks to try to avoid being married and save Klaus and Sunny from being killed. Count Olaf was trying to put on a play were Violet was the bride and they would get married in real life and after count Olaf planed to kill her and her siblings to get their money. The book took place in an unnamed city but describes it as dirty and busy. But most of the book takes place in Count Olaf’s house. During the story they have to do chores and school in Count Olaf’s house. All of the characters in the book show a sign of courage. For example, when all of Violet’s plans to capture her siblings and run away from count Olaf fail, she decides that she will have to marry him. Another example of courage in the book is how the siblings show strength and courage is when Violet deciders to marry count Olaf. One of the Minor themes in the book the bad begging is youth. The minor theme is youth because all of their problems are because they are children. For example when the Baudelaire house burns down they cannot live on their own because of their age resulting they have to live with the evil count
