John Lennon (guitar) and Paul McCartney (bass) began playing together in a band called The Quarrymen in 1957. They were later accompanied by Harrison on guitar and drummer Pete Best who was replaced by Ringo Starr in 1962. This final four, or otherwise known “Fab Four”, became what we know today as The Beatles. Known as Rock and Rolls greatest accomplishments in the history of popular music, The Beatles are still one of America’s largest known bands. Originating from Liverpool they started playing local clubs such as the Cavern and also traveled to Hamburg, Germany playing clubs there.
