In these three poems “The Bells” by Edgar Allan Poe, “Fire and Ice” by Robert Frost, and another by Robert Frost “Road Not Taken” They all share a few things in common. In “The Bells” the speaker fell in love with a girl and started dating her. Soon after they got married. A while after they were married they were at home and the fire alarm went off. Only the speaker made it out his wife burned alive inside the house. In “Fire and Ice” The speaker is explaining if the world would end in fire or ice. Finally in “ The Road Not Taken” the speaker is talking about how he or she makes a choice and knows that he or she can never come back to where he or she was before that choice was made.

Would he not get married? In the other poem “Road Not Taken” it explains how someone takes a path that has not been walked on only by few. The speaker in Poe's poem would want to go back and change what happened. He hates that he could not save her. So he would go back on the path he is on now and start all over on a different path. Something that would save his wife. It could also change a lot like if he were to go back would he meet someone new or would the fire happen in a different way. Going back on the path less traveled would not be a smart idea, but I do believe that he would go back just so he could see and save her this time if it were to happen again. Yes, he loved his wife that is why he wanted to save her. Would you want to save your loved one? I believe the answer to that would be yes, but what if you could not save her. If your loved one died you would most likely have a desire to go back and be with him or her. Going back though is not always the answer you must travel forward life is a journey you must complete it. You can never get ahead if you do not try, you will always be stuck in one part of life where you are terrified of everything just because of one mistake. Who knows if you keep traveling forward you may find someone knew. Yes, you will not forget what you have left, but it will not help to go back. If he was to go back to make everything
