To be a cosmetologist you have to have your high school diploma, and complete a state licensed barber or cosmetology school. “To get your license, certifications, and registrations you have to reach the age of 16, have a diploma and graduate from a barber-cosmetology school”(careersinfocus). A course depending on where you go and how hard you try for it usually takes up to 50 weeks to complete. 50 weeks in my opinion is not a lot of school and i feel like there should be more education for people who want to further their career in cosmetology. If there is more education in this field of study i feel that there could be more possibilities and better workers.

Although $11.40 isn't the most someone could make the better cosmetologist you are the more money you could make by getting tips. “Many barbers, hairdressers and cosmetologists work full time, however part-time positions are also common” (Barbers,Hairdressers,and cosmetologists). The more hours a cosmetologist works the more money, so many people choose to work full time. Being a cosmetologist isn't the best job, but if it’s something you love it's definitely worth
