Have you ever experienced being one of the excellent students until such time you belong to the bottom of the class of your batch? Or have you ever fell asleep while taking your final exam for the entire grading? Well, in my real life I encountered that kind of difficulty. It was unsullied and unambiguous memory I can still remember. Way back to my high school life, I’m one of the excellent students in our class but on my third year high school I was known as one of the stupid person of our class when our teacher released the result of our grades for the entire grading. Let me give you the information why I failed my grade. It was my first subject on our examination day, I am too confident really confident that I can answer it perfectly even though I feel like I’m falling down to the sky. I am sitting at the corner of the room and the person sitting next to me is Mike and next to him is Gine. Our teacher gave us the examiner’s sheet and the test questionnaires, as I’m looking on the exam I find too easy as I study the whole night before that day, then after a few minutes our teacher allow us to start answering. In the middle of the exam I fell asleep, neither Mike nor my bestfriend wake me up. When I awake I realize that they are almost done answering the exam while I am still on the number 56 out of 200 items and the time allowance left is only 25 minutes, I talk to myself “OMG!!! I fell asleep, I need to answer all of this as soon as possible but I am out of time”. Our teacher declared the time left “Class, 20 minutes left”, I was in a dazed that I may not able to answer the exam. I still have the hope to finish the exam yet I answered with approximation of 150 items. Our teacher collected the examiner’s sheet and she leave the room as she collected it. After 2 days of our examination, she announce the student who reach the highest score and the student who failed her subject, “The person who was able to got the highest score is Ms. Alba and I am very sorry for Ms. Vidad because he is the only student on this batch who failed the subject”, when I heard all of that I’m terribly depressed and disappointed at the same time. And that was the most embarrassing moment I can remember in my whole life.

The poem “Pass/Fail” by Linda Pastan addresses exam anxiety. In the poem the author talks about examination dreams. These dreams are a reflection on the individual’s lack of confidence and incapability to advance to the next stage in life. In the dreams no matter what a person do, the answer is always wrong and he or she is guaranteed to fail in the dream. In real life, one either pass an exam or fail it. If one fails, they can often retake the exam and pass it. However, no matter what a person do, they are never going to escape from their examination dreams. These dreams will continue throughout their life.…

Australia’s attitude to its involvement in the Vietnam War changed due to a number of factors. Australia’s attitude changed from supporting the war during the beginning to opposing the war as it progressed. This is due to the fact that there was little understanding of why the war was occurring as Menzies manipulated the Public View by playing on the fear of communism. Also most of the older generation and veterans believed that it was the younger generations turn to fight for their country. The media’s portrayal of the war and its origins led to a change in attitude along with the implementation of Conscription by the Liberal Party in 1965.…

For my first biology test I received a grade that I am not proud of. To be completely honest the night before the test I attended a concert and didn’t get to sleep until two in the morning. This optical is defiantly something that I could have avoided. I should not have attended the concert, or at least I should have prepared myself weeks in advance knowing that I had a concert the night before. This is my second time taking the class and I expected better out of myself. I made the same mistake I did last year by not studying till the week of the test. Another obstacle was my interest, I am not interested in the topics we are discussing but as a student I need to ignore preference and work on doing my best. Most biology test is memory based…

As I disappointingly see my grades on canvas I tell myself that once I get home from school I will finish my homework and papers almost due before work today. I have four quizzes and two excel worksheets to work complete. I have three hours and a half to finish these before midnight. As I’m done with my first quiz I decided to take a little break so I take a glimpse at my phone and decide to watch just an episode of “Vampire Diaries” and next time I know its 5 o’clock and I’ve watched four episodes of the show. I just wasted all the time I had to finish my homework and now I have to finish it after work which I get out at 9:30 pm. There was no way I would finish on time with good scores.…

Everyone wants good grades throughout their years in school, mainly in high school. I am more of a math and science person, other subjects like history and government. Topics like politics, the constitution, the United States Government, political parties and anything else having to do with Government class I had no interest in when I signed up for classes. I know this is something that I should be keeping up to date on because of the upcoming election and everything that changes with the government. The spring of my sophomore year I was looking for different classes to take, I saw AP Government. I thought I could do well in that class, I was motivated to learn something new and excel at something I was not very interested in. The first day of junior year came quickly. Then the first AP government test came even quicker. I studied the night before for hours thinking positive thoughts and finding funny ways to remember different answers. Going into the test I thought I was ready, but when I saw the test I froze. Thinking different thoughts like “When did we learn this?” or “Why did I take this class?”. I pushed all the negative thoughts to the side and completed the test to the best of my ability. The day we got our test back I looked down and about cried. I had never done that bad on a test.…

It was in my third semester of nursing school where I hit a major roadblock. I was taking a required class called Complex Health Alterations (CHA), this class in particular spanned two full semesters and was taken in two parts; my roadblock came at the end of the second semester. This class was challenging for me and I had to put a great deal of time and effort into preparing for exams, I found myself either doing moderately well or sometimes not too well. At the end of the semester when final grades came out I was .02 percent below the passing grade to move on to the final semester of the program. I was devastated, but pragmatic enough in knowing that I didn’t pass, remembering what my dad had always told me, “move on, it is over and in the past, you need to look forward, what is done is done”. I genuinely planned on moving forward but had heard from fellow students that the one of the other students that had technically “failed” the course was being allowed to move on because she had only received .01 percent below the passing grade; this had stopped me dead in my tracks. I contemplated how I was going to handle this, should I step up and say something? Should I keep my mouth shut and retake the…

It started out like any other day. I got out of bed and scrambled to get out the door after I took an extra hour in the shower. I hopped into a seat next to my best friend Erin. We talked for the ten minute ride before finally arriving at school. I sat down in homeroom waiting for the bell to ring. Brrriinnngggg! I rushed to Mrs. Gregory’s room for Lit. Everything was fine until gym class. I had forgotten my assignment notebook in Mrs. Saphir’s room so I ran back upstairs to get it from under my chair. As I started to walk back towards the locker room I heard the bell ring… late! I walked into the locker room hoping Mrs. Dennis wouldn’t notice my tardiness, but my locker is right next to her office. I quickly filled out a minor for before…

Friday, January 20, I took a three-hour long test called the ATI TEAS. This test helps determine which students will be accepted into the nursing program. My friends, family, and co-workers encouraged me by telling me that I would do great. I wasn’t sure about how I would do, and I didn’t really listen to the encouragement. I scored proficient on my test, which is high enough to have me considered for the nursing program. Although, I think that I could have done much better if I had had a better sense of…

Only 2 tedious hours of school and I could go home and lay in my queen size bed with my body sized pillow because today was just not my day. As i walk into Mr. Schwantes class I see an egg, a cup filled with water, and toilet paper roll. I know right then and there we are doing a really fun activity. Mr. Schwantes was always a fun teacher. He was very helpful as well. I could always count on him to cheer me up. I take a seat and read the board and do what it says. “ Good morning boys and girls!!” Mr. Schwantes says as he walks in the room, “ We will be doing an experiment today. Please move all of your stuff to the back counter when you are done with your blog.” As i stand up to go put my folder and notebook on the back counter I start feeling a little light headed. What was wrong with me? My stomach aches and i'm really dizzy. After standing there for about 20 seconds i feel fine again.
