1. What would you say is the main theme of the Bible?

I agree with the explanation of Bickel and Jantz (1998), when they break down the Bible in three parts:
♣ God is the author.
♣ We are the characters.
♣ Jesus is the theme.

2. Have you ever considered the Bible from this perspective before? Explain why or why not.

After reading our assignment for the week and all of the discussions in the group, I have gained an entirely different perspective of the theme of the Bible. I was taught growing up, that the Bible is God’s word, however I never really looked at the different books of the Bible as life lessons and how they parallel to the peaks and valleys of our lives. “We are the characters”, is a statement
