Every person has its ups and downs in life. These big changes create either positive or negative turning-points in people’s life. The biggest change I experienced in my life was when I started to work. I had an enormous will to achieve something in life but hadn’t the opportunity to do it before. Knowing you can move mountains but not having a chance to get in action hurts a person extremely. So, with a little delay and with the support of my husband, I accepted the offer of my friends, which I didn’t wanted to lose. Now, when I look back and take my social life, my ability to use the computer, and my self- confidence into consideration, I’m definitely sure I did the right thing with starting to work. Firstly, my social life has changed a lot. Before I started to work I surely had a social life. I was not the kind of person to sit around and do nothing, but my social life was limited with my friends, who lived in the immediate vicinity, and my neighbourhood. Being afraid of being sidelined, I preferred to live in the way they all were used to, even if it was not the kind of living I desired. I wanted to be more active. But when I started to work, I found myself in a completely different world. I learned to cooperate with others and became a part of a team. I met new people, which most of them were foreigners and spoke a few languages. I, who loved foreign languages, had the opportunity to use and improve my english. At the beginning I was of course afraid to talk english as I hadn’t spoken it for years but just helped my children with their english lessons. But in a short time I got accustomed to it, and the second year I was allowed to join the conference calls, which was another facility to get in contact with more new people. Nowadays, I have connection with all of them, which enriched my social life. In addition to my social life, I learned to use the computer. I was familiar with the computer, but it wasn’t a must for me. When I wanted to search something on the internet, I needed my children’s help because the use of a computer made me very anxcious. This was the most important point I was afraid of the first days at work. I was a quick learner and after a month I was included in the support of all the Castrol and BP European webpages. I wasn’t that afraid anymore of the computer and it suddenly became a window to the world to me. Now, I can’t imagine the non-existence of it. Thanks to it I can get in contact with my kids now, who live at long distances. It really shortens the distances. And besides, the computer is my biggest helper with the researches I have to make at university now. But the most important point is self-confidence. Even if I knew I could achieve a lot, I didn’t had the courage to put it into practice.I had a strong personality, but I felt as I was surrounded with walls. However, the more responsibility I got at work, the stronger I became, and the more self-confident I felt myself. I was economically and morally dependent on my husband before. Whereas, now I can stand on my own legs. I’m not afraid of standing up to the difficulties of life anymore because I know now that one can get through everything if he or she wants. Working somewhere and earning my own money helped me to gain self-confidence. All in all, when you take all these aspects into consideration, to work and earn your own living adds a lot of positive components into one’s live. It enrichens your social life, makes you aware of the importance of modern technology, and is the most efficient way to gain self-confidence. It gives you the opportunity to get faced with the real world and encourages you to achieve all the difficulties of it. The bussiness world is not only a men’s world, women too must take part in it to share the real life and to become economically and morally independent. For me, it was the entrance to the entire world.

Consider how the following contexts may affect relationships and the way people communicate: (301 1.3) Social - When in a social environment you are more than likely around people who know your personality and how you communicate, perhaps jokes, dramatic notions, being loud or quietly thoughtful may be ways in which you use your communicational skills. The friendship you have means people will want to spend time with you and will understand and accept your ways, thus conducive to a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. You may go out with work colleagues on a social basis, you would then err on the side of caution using politeness, and a more relaxed professional behaviour until you get to know their sense of humour and personalities. Social media needs to be included here as it is a popular way to communicate with friends, however caution needs to be taken that privacy settings are enabled, to avoid the whole world being able to see your photos can comments. Professional : At work, in meetings, talking with parents, members of staff / students / outside agencies, all require professionalism. The way you would conduct yourself would be in a friendly, respectful, formal manner. Keen listening skills are important. Interest and understanding should be shown by you in body language, questions, answers and possible solutions. Any issues should be dealt with calmly in a non- threatening tone. Email is a common way to communicate on a professional level but care needs to be taken as to how you express certain conversations to ensure the wording is correct as conversations can be misinterpreted if emails are too blunt as body language cannot be appreciated here. Also the speed to which we reply to phone calls or emails is important as to how another person perceives you on a professional…

My whole life I have been a leader, the rule maker, the boss, a take charge and a "get stuff done" type of person. These qualities I attribute to being the oldest sibling, raised by a strong mother, and a stepfather determined to raise another man’s child as best he could. I thrive in situations where I can have control and can help guide a team or myself to the best possible outcome. I apply these characteristics to nearly every aspect of my life, sometimes to a fault. After dropping out of college eight years previously, to follow my dreams of being a makeup artist, I woke up one day and decided my life need a change. Not completing school had always weighed on me over the years like an unfinished task needing to be done. So, why now, what changed? I can still remember the first couple incidents that happened to me that started to shift my path of life. On May 26, 2011 I graduated from high school. It was a day full of happiness, sadness, and anxiety. I planned on taking time off of school since I have been in it for about 12 years straight. I planned on taking lots of trips with my friends and just experiencing new things in the new world. I also knew that if I did go back right away I wouldn’t succeed to my full potential. I simply wasn’t ready. At my grad party, I got into an argument with my brother, because I was defending my cousin. It soon escalated into a full on brawl between me, my brother, my boyfriend at the time, my father, and some friends. I made my way from outside where everyone was yelling at each other into my room. My father stormed into my roomed, where he proceeded to keep yelling at me telling me how I always screw everything up and I felt so overwhelmed that I just wanted to leave. Every ounce of me tried to escape that mad house but he wouldn’t let me leave until the cops arrived. I packed up a few things and left to stay with my boyfriend. A couple of days later I went and got the…
