HOMEWORK Due to our individualized instructional model where students may work at their own pace to accomplish segments of the curriculum in each course, it may be easy to become confused about the role of homework. Newpoint students may falsely believe that because a teacher has not specifically assigned work to be done for homework that he or she has no homework. However, it is critical for students to work at home on their ongoing assignments in order to complete them in the given time period. It is particularly important for students who are assigned an internship to complete coursework at home so that they do not fall behind when they attend their internship.…

I began studying the behavior of children over 30 years ago when I entered college as an Elementary Education major. In that time, there has rarely been a course that I have taken that does not, at some point in time, utilize the strengths and the model of Bloom’s taxonomy to some degree. I am almost certain that I have never been asked to look at the possibility of ‘weaknesses’ in Bloom’s theory before this. And, quite honestly I don’t remember ever questioning the validity of his entire model, until now.…

Wilson can implement creativity in the classroom by providing many opportunities for children to explore books, draw, write, and begin to recognize familiar words and name. Also, by creating small-group activities where Mr. Wilson can engage the children in reading, writing, handwriting, or math activities. Moreover, by creating a classroom library where she can provide at least 4 or more different books per child and the children should have access all the time to them? For example, these books should include Picture books, Familiar books that children can 'read' from memory, Child-made books, Teacher-made books, etc. Mr. Wilson needs to make sure she include Rebus Charts that illustrate handwashing procedure step by step with word and picture.
