Garp lead us on a journey in which we acquired new perspectives on the lives of people which we may never have known in any other circumstance. It seems almost everyone has their own unique struggles to deal with, and one can never understand them without living them. They face persecution from family, peers, and the world around them. Some are beaten by it, others overcome it. A woman named Pooh, who is part of a cult like organization who idolizes Ellen James, kills Garp in cold blood. A life taken without
cause.
An epilogue, in the disguise of wrapping up the past, is really a way of warning us about the future. It leads us to reflect on the lives the characters lead, and to learn and from the mistakes that they made, and to use that knowledge to better your future.
