I think the author chose the Title the body in the woods for this book because in the very beginning they find the body in the woods and that's what sets the whole book in motion. my in my opinion the best part of the book is whenever they find the first body of the little girl because whenever they find the body it sends them on a mission to find out who did it. I wanted to begin with an interesting question what is love? Love is an intense feeling with a deep affecting to someone you really care about. However, why do we tend to be falling in love with different kinds of people and not just one. From one moment to the other we stop having feelings towards the people we thought were going to be our everything. This semester I had the opportunity to read a book about love, happiness, murder and also a possible psycho is was writing by Tim O'Brien called “In the Lake of the Woods”. The story begins with the protagonists John and Kathy Wade; both of them are talking about happiness without knowing what happiness really means. “They wanted happiness without knowing what it was, or where to look, which made them want it more” (O’Brien pg. 2) For both of them one of their biggest desires is to express their love for one another. Kathy Wade decides to cheat on John Wade, because it’s her way of showing John that she knows that he is watching her.…

I like how its really intense and calming and also some parts funny. I like how it talks about teen pregnancy because some young teens will want to get pregnant at such a young age and if they read this book it may help them change their mind and wait till they get older, thats very important to me. I really like the chapter where Bobby was talking about the wall when he was trying to get everything back in place and try to see who he really was, i thought that part was really good. I like how it goes back and fourth for the chapters like then and now, it makes you want to read more because in one chapter it tells you really good information and you just want to read even more till the…

Society categorizes individuals by gender, either masculine or feminine, but how does one determine which surpasses the other? Society determines the way we look at gender and what role it plays in the construction of society. This is not only in America but around the world as well. In American society, Men are classified as strong, tough, and un-emotional; women on the other hand are the opposite. Females are supposed to be sensitive, kind, beautiful, have “perfect” bodies, etc. So how does…

To me, the challenging part of the book was reading a book on a topic that I do not know much about. I am starting to become familiar with the legal system, however I am nowhere near that of a lawyer. This is why I stumbled at times on some of the legal lingo that the book contained. In addition to that, I did find myself with a better understanding of our legal system. I felt like I was along for the ride on the whole legal process. Also, I would like to note that I thoroughly enjoyed the chapter on the autopsy because I thought it was very interesting how they performed those procedures in that time period. I loved the detail that the author went into when describing how it all took place.…

They knew they needed to be careful because they were locked up for a reason. A bright light appeared at the end of one of the halls and they headed toward it hoping for an escape, but when they reached the light all they found was a window that showed the landscape of an industrial style city filled with military personnel and fleets of vehicles as far as they could see. They questioned what military this was, it wouldn't take long for them to find out. As they kept exploring the massive building that they seemed to be trapped in they turned a corner straight into the face of some sort of military personnel, he wasn't a general but he looked as if he was very important, but before they could run away they were all trapped by guards. Struggling to get free the guards covered their heads with black bags so they didn't know where they were going. Being forced to sit down and the bags being ripped off they found themselves in a elegant looking room filled with photographs and memorabilia from around the world, but one thing stood out most to the 3 friends, the massive Russian flag draped on the wall behind the desk. The man at the desk announced himself as General Anton Belinski. He explained where the boys were, they were on the southern coast of Cuba and they were at one of the top secret Russian-Cuban Military bases. After being polite and allowing questions Anton said one last thing before sending the boys back to their cells, “You can either work for me and do what I say, or you will die a painful death filled with…
