This story is about a girl named Liesel who was travelling with her brother and mother to their new foster home. On the way, however, her brother passes out. She eventually arrives at her destination and meets her foster parents Hans and Rosa. Liesel had stolen a book that Hans finds out and realizes that she can’t read. He begins to teach her to read and she continues to steal books from a mayor’s house library. The mayor’s wife is aware of that but was not angry. In the meantime, a boy named Max, who is the son of a Jewish, arrives at their home for help. His father had saved Hans life in return of his own. But soon, he has to live because of Hans action of helping a Jewish. Hans too gets a punishment. The mayor’s wife then
