The novel The Boy in Striped Pyjamas written by John Boyne is a novel which discovers the secret relationship behind a rich and powerful family. They lived in a huge big in Berlin, a beautiful city of Germany before they moved to a filthy house in ‘Out-With’ due to a very important job of Bruno’s father. They had a really long time living in that place and developed a relationship between Bruno and his family which they didn’t before.
Bruno and his older sister had a challenging relationship between them. They had a lot of fighting and argue all the time, from berlin till the day Bruno disappeared. They had extremely different characteristic and thoughts. Gretel is a horrible trouble maker in Bruno’s world as the “Hopeless Case” ‘Bruno thought about this and frowned. He wasn’t particularly bothered if Gretel was being sent away because she was a Hopeless Case and caused nothing but trouble for him.’(Page 6) Bruno is a kid who is lack of knowledge, really stupid, and couldn’t handle the innocent of Bruno and called him ‘stupid’ and ‘too young’ all the time.
