The other day, happening upon an intellectual discussion about equality and feminism, a sudden realisation became clear. "You're out of your dept.", maintaining eye contact and listening to the other sides point took the foreground in thought. Where this seems like the appropriate response, what happened was the chiming in with ill-thought out points still formulating spewed out of the mouth no longer under the control of whom it's attached to. Two sides of a personality wage war to decide if the bravado of masculinity is worth the price of moral statuettes in the eyes of an ever more feminine orientated society. "A wise man speaks only when he has something to say, a fool speaks because he has to say something." This …show more content…
quote echoes between the ears of the fool who let slip his opinion without fact to back it up.
Right now a fool has to say something.
Looking around at the area in which one is presiding at the moment is in a poor neighbourhood, the surrounding area is also a poor neighbourhood. These people make up the mass majority of people who work and spend money. Reminiscing of the days of reading "1984" the proletariats (currently rejoicing with the correct spelling of that word on the first try) come to mind, these former wage earners are now the heart of a battle against a welfare state against a lower income way of life. A cornucopia of opiates now run the streets allowing these people to find an escape from reality. Their reality when looked at with scrutiny is to be born and raised to work so a certain percentage of people can earn fortunes from the back breaking labour you provide. Classified as part of this group of people, descended from hard workers who work their fingers to the bone to live out the same routine of hope and dream until reality sets in and you escape into the lives of your offspring and the cycle
continues.
Narrowing down poisons that circulate among the working class isn't simple. Alcohol, cigarettes, loads, lottery, gambling... the list goes on with additions growing with the rise in deadlier forms. Although marijuana isn't the target of this rant other drugs are prescription pills, heroin, MDMA. Growing constantly with new ways to put reality to sleep. Escaping from reality is common and can be looked at as where humanity is going wrong. We've made existence a punishment, awareness is torture. Songs no longer work to keep the proletariats in check. No woman hanging out her washing singing simple melodies suffice to satisfy. Of course the melodies are still simple, prattled on by the masses.
A rage grows within, from dealing with these aspects of life. Family no longer means those close to you, they are something you want to sweep under the rug. We don't go beyond ourselves anymore there is no more community where one feels the need to isolate themselves in order to from some protective distance. Vulnerability breeds bad decisions when a weak personality comes across someone who can manipulate them into a cycle society must break.
Sleep is a retreat, it's the harshness of reality and saddening deterioration among our fellow human beginnings that turns day to day life into an affliction. People not being at their best is driving down the human experience, lack of sufficient role models is dragging down the image of greatness. To exceed our capabilities for decency should be our goal. The way is lost.
This post is twists and turns and makes no sense that is how a need for food, sleep and freedom of routine is robbing the sanity remaining in this mans’ head.
