When applying the show Big Brother with the story The Canterbury Tales choosing the right characters to intermingle in a household is very difficult. The eight characters I have chosen to live in a household together are The Knight, The Friar, The Squire, The Nun, The Cook, The Wife of Bath, The Manciple, and The Summoner. I believe that the chosen characters will make a very interesting and dramatic show.
The first character I have chosen is The Knight. I picked The Knight to live in the house because he “..Had followed chivalry,/ Truth, honor, generousness, and courtesy” (45-46). I believe The Knight would be one of the characters that the people would appeal too. He also would be one of the members that the people would cheer on. I believe that if The Knight were to start an alliance with anyone it would be with The Friar, because they are both kind at heart.
The next character I have chosen is The Friar. The Friar would be one of the cast members because “He was a noble pillar to his Order./ Highly beloved and intimate was he” (218-219). The Friar would be another character that the people appeal too. The Friar would be one of the characters that the people would cheer for. He also would be highly entertaining since he always goes around singing.
The Squire is the next character I have selected to live in the household. He would be one of the characters that the people would love to hate since “He was some twenty years of age, I guessed./ In stature he was of a moderate length,/ With wonderful agility and strength” (84-86). The Squire would also be one of the characters to start drama in the house, since he is young and immature. Although since he is immature he would be on of the more entertaining characters.
Another character I picked is The Nun. She was “Pleasant and friendly in her ways, and straining/ To counterfeit a courtly kind of grace” (142-143). The people would love to hate The Nun since she tries to
