Fortunato to make him want to prove to the narrator that he is strong enough and willing enough to get the wine. This show that the narrator believes in some way that he will not get his revenge if he doesn’t keep luring Fortunato into the catacombs. Which shows that the narrator is paranoid and crazy to want revenge this bad. The narrator of “The Cask of Amonitillado” is finely granted his wish and get revenge of Fortunato he buries him alive and the narrator gets away with the murder of Fortunato. While the narrator gets his revenge he still seems to not be in the right state of mind. In “The Tell-tale heart” this narrator also wants revenge but not on a person but on the persons eyes. Which also indicates that this person is also crazy. It’s clearly not the traditional revenge story. The narrator says he loves the old man but hates his vulture eye. It seems to not be revenge just a lack of sanity. The narrator is in many aspect crazy, but he says the old man treats him very well. The narrator seems to not be looking for revenge, but more a relises from his craziness. In the short story of “The Shot” Silvio is a very mysterious person.

duel. Silvio new this was the perfect time to gather all his guns and go get his revenge on the Count. Silvio was granted all his wishes the Count had horror all over his face. But the Count granted his wish and wanted to start the duel before his wife came home. The Count shot and missed Silvio completely and Silvio saw that his revenge was not necessary. The Counts wife pleaded with Silvio not to kill her husband. And Sivio granted her wish and left but before leaving wanting to put terror into them shot right at the same spot the Count did saying I could have killed you.
