The Cask Of Amontillado Literary Analysis

The cask of Amontillado is a story about revenge between Montresor and Fortunato. It falls under the category of psychoanalytic lenses and this is clearly seen from the psychological implications of Montresor on how he is planning to revenge on Fortunato. It is in Montresor’s mind nobody is aware about it. Fortunato has no idea of Montresor’s anger making the story to be more terrifying and even tragic (Godey’s Lady Book).The two began their conversation about the pipe of what passes for Amontillado and Montresor tells Fortunato about the doubt on the pipe and Fortunato ignores the story about it. Fortunate says that he feared for the bargain that the price could be less than what he had planned for it and Montresor blames herself for paying full amount without first consulting that matter. Fortunato ignores the story about the issue and says he is heading to Luchesi if any one feels that he has an issue with him will not bother about it. He persuades Montresor to join him to Luchesi even though Montresor is seen to be reluctant at first but she decides to join him. Furtunato convinces Montresor to join him by saying that he does not have any engagement in Luchesi but just cares about him by not leaving him to suffer from cold that he perceives she is
