He does end up regretting the visit because it causes him to think twice about leaving school. He realizes that he's going to miss Mr. Spencer. 8. Holden knew exactly who the girl was because she lived next door to him several summers ago and they would play checkers together. 18. He’s asked to write a composition for English.
