"famous stare" kept your attention on Hitler a lot longer then it would be on another person. “They stared through you. They seemed to immobilize the person on whom they were directed, frightening some, fascinating others, but dominating them in any case. I would observe hardened old Nazi party leaders freeze as he paused to talk to one or the other of them, hypnotized by his penetrating glare.” - William Shirer. Hitler was bad with connecting to individuals so this alone made the people interested in him and saw him as something special. Hitler also had a strong allure for women. They would almost drop at his presence. He received many love letters. Hitler at once told his feminine audience that they were meant to be at home in the kitchen, and nursery. This made the thousands of women in the audience overjoyed. Hitler's charm was so strongly recognized by all kinds of people that even people outside Germany started supporting Hitler. But others such as government leaders began to worry they were all just being hypnotized by this persuasive man and leader to them all. People thought of Hitler as a god and even a messiah. They thought this more as Germany began to succeed in war (The dark charm of Adolf Hitler). During jail time Hitler wrote the first volume of “Mein Kampf” which really brought out the persuasiveness through Adolfs writings.
Hitler loved power and sitting around not taking action bothered him much. He started to write "Mein Kampf" which had a lot of his personal views. He wrote this because he felt he had to get the message out (The Failed Coup). "Mein Kampf" means my struggle. In this book Adolf divides humans into categories by appearance. There were higher and lower orders. At the top was a German man blonde hair , and blue eyes. He calls this person a Aryan and a master race. He would think of the perfect human and then of course the not so perfect human. Hitler also states that all our significant achievements such as math, science and technology were a product of Aryan. In Mein Kampf, Hitler states: "...it [Nazi philosophy] by no means believes in an equality of races, but along with their difference it recognizes their higher or lesser value and feels itself obligated to promote the victory of the better and stronger, and demand the subordination of the inferior and weaker in accordance with the eternal will that dominates this universe." At first the book sold very poorly. But after Hitler became Chancellor of Germany many copies were sold. Many people bought it because it was almost assumed they had to. Hitler talks about his struggles for gaining power and how the Jewish people are in his way. To him they cause all the issues. He often referred to them as liars, dirty, and sly (Hitler’s
Book). Hitler’s sharp mind helped him win elections. Hitler won the election and became Chancellor of Germany, but in order to win that election he had to of made many smart decisions early in the game. Hitler's takeover was also all about the timing. He did his speeches and persuaded the audience right when the people were hungry, unemployed, and frightened. They felt betrayed by the broken promises of the German government, and Hitler gave them that hope they desperately needed. Hitler was a master at talking to large audiences and was a genius at manipulating the crowd (The dark charm of Adolf Hitler). Hitler through his well known speeches already had the majority of the votes on his side which made for an easy election. Hitler was smart and thought ahead allowing him to win by a landslide (Adolf Hitler Won an Election). Hitler wasn't a genius mathematically or scientifically, but he very well could've been a genius in his own game of race. Many people say he was an "original thinker" (Was Adolf Hitler a Genius). Adolf Hitler was a powerful man. He got that power from his manipulative ways and unique and intriguing charm. Through his smart writings in “Mein Kampf” and powerful speeches he mesmerized the people of Germany. The rule of Adolf Hitler soon swept the world. Although Hitler maintained his power through force. He gained his power through intelligence and charm.
