The Cause Of Bad Or Good Effects For Exam-Oriented Education It is no doubt that education is always an important topic around in our life, because education can not only improve our knowledge, but also can develope our society’s economic development. Right now, there is one very popular education system in the most Asian countries. It is exam oriented education. For this education system, there are many different opinions. For example, some people consider that this system is waste students’ life, or some people consider that this system can improve the students’ grades. Therefore, the cause of bad effects for exam oriented education is: it wastes too much of students time; Students can not improve their personality and creativity; and students only know theories. These causes led to a bad result, which is most students have good ability to get gear grades, but they have no any life skills. However, there are also some positives cause, the first one is it is an help students gain more knowledge, and second one is good grades can give more chance to the students. The first bad effect is exam oriented education wastes too much of students’ time. In most Asian countries, like in China, most middle school and high school start first class at 7:00am, and end of class at 10:00pm. For example, when I was in high school, we normally have five classes in the morning, from 7:00 to 11:50am. Then we have two hours for lunch and break. After break there are other four classes during the 2:30pm to 4:50pm. Then we have one hour for dinner. After that there are two classes from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Normally, when students go back home, the time already is 10:00pm. Moreover, most middle and high school students have lots of homework, after they come back to home; they have to spend three to four hours to finish their work.
