Technology is so frequently placed in conjuction with the word science that
many think of the two as the same. Some technology purely with gadgetry, while others think
somewhat hazily of all the things that make the present different from the past. It is the practical
application of knowledge so that something can be done in a completely new way. In order for society
to evolve technology was and still is needed. The growth was rapid, with crime rate sky rocketing,
diseases booming as fast as they are; technology was the perfect fix. The perfect fix until its in the

There are six different types of technology, medical, assistive, instructional
technology, technology of teaching, technology productivity tool, and information technology all
in which is a great deal for society. For example, a high school student who is paralyzed may require a
resperator to assist in breathing (medical technology). In a course designed to teach about
telecommunications, that individual may use a voice operated computer (assistive technology); to
pursue a tutorial about how to design data bass from a software program (instructional technology)
that was designed according to principles of near – error less learning (technology of teaching). As a
result of the tutorial the student will be to set up a database, enter function effectively in class
(technology productivity tool) and use the internet (information technology) that could be stored in
the database. As I was saying there are some pros and cons to using and depending on technology.
