The Causes And Effects Of The Great Depression
The Great Depression was a really big historic event that happened in the 1929.In 1933 many people have lost their jobs and income workers reduced by 40%. On October 24, 1929 there was something called “Black Thursday” and that's when the traders started to get 12 millions dollars a day. Over the next couple of days the stock prices fell about 23 %. So The effect of the Great Depression caused many people to suffer; it was a time period in which people faced tremendous challenges such as bank failure as many brokers called in for loans,drought as it resulted in famine and thirst, and reduction in trading as it caused prices to decline. Due to the fact there were challenges such as the drought, people started dying in larger numbers as time went by. Other factors that came with the drought were famine and thirst which is one of the main reasons that such a high number of deaths. That lead to years-in length dry season combined with poor cultivating rehearses made an immense locale from southeast Colorado to the Texas beg that came to be known as the Dust Bowl. When the dust storm came it choked the people that were living in the towns it also killed crops and livestock. It made people sick and causing millions of untold damage and thousands fled the locale as the economy crumbled. The great depression lead the people to lose their job which lead them to not being able to pay for the goods .With their investment useless, their saving funds lessened or drained, and credit tight to nonexistent, spending by shoppers and organizations alike ground to a halt. As time passed by there was about 25 percent of the population who lost their job. That meant that there will be less spending to help alleviate the economic situation.
