This can be an onset of typical schizophrenic delusions. Another sign can be the person always feeling watched or not wanting to go anywhere in fear of being watched caused by the thought that something or someone is there when they are not. If someone is speaking or thinking in a peculiar or absurd way, that can also be a sign of schizophrenia. Another common warning sign is a change in personality or withdrawing from social situations. A person with schizophrenia can sometimes get extremely paranoid and have worse delusions in a setting that does not feel completely safe or in their control. The symptoms of schizophrenia are commonly placed into two groups labeled, positive and negative. Although none of the symptoms of schizophrenia are viewed as having a necessarily good effect on someone, positive symptoms are defined as symptoms that are added to the person’s personality and negative symptoms are thought of as taken aways from a person’s personality.
