How is Adeline described in the book, how is her relationship to the other characters in the book and how do these characters affect Adeline in how she is, how she feels and how she acts. For my topic for this essay I have chosen to read the book called “Chinese Cinderella” by Adeline Yen Mah. Which is an autobiography of Adeline’s own childhood. This is the story of an unwanted daughter. Adeline explains how it was for her to grow up knowing that she was unwanted and at the same time considered as bad luck in her family, due to the fact that her mother died giving birth to her.
