There were so many important inventions in that decade, that the years 1900-1910 have been called “The decades that invented the future”. Through these years, cultural ideas began to change throughout America. One cultural change would be the famous Coca-Cola beverage. “Coca-Cola is a delightful, palatable, and healthful beverage.” By placing this line at the beginning of the ad, the company succeeds in establishing good credibility for the product, and grabbing the reader’s attention, so they would then want to continue reading the rest of the ad. As the audience continues reading the ad, they come across another credible line, “It relieves fatigue and mental and physical exhaustion”. By taking credit for these far fetched side-effects, it further entices the reader into wanting to buy this latest sensation throughout America. At the very end of the ad, the company tries to establish even more credibility. They tell their audience that Coca-Cola is “The most refreshing drink in the world”. The company does a good job at strategically placing this as the last thing the audience will read. By placing this as the very last sentence of the ad, the readers will have that on their mind throughout the day, and would eventually buy the product. Through doing so, Coca-Cola has achieved their ad’s goals by making their audience buy their product. Creating some good logic points in an ad is also helpful towards a successful business. For example, an ad with good logic and reasoning is more likely to get more attention and sell more product than an ad with either absurd
