The Color Purple Monologue
I believe to express one’s thoughts and feelings is hard to developing a sense of self, Celie took so much abuse and couldn’t do nothing about it makes her so strong. They would do celie so wrong so many times was horrible, I can’t believe her own step father abused her and raped her. The abuse to women is horrible and their needs to be a big change or a very bad consequences. Girls who are raped or abused really have no chance to stop it they can’t fight against a grown man he is too strong for the female. It’s very sad that a man would do that to a innocent women who done nothing to receive this kind of treatment. The man who or person who has done the harm,if caught should be sentenced for a long time of period. This awful act is just not allowed at all and should be handled much better in this world. …show more content…

If I was in her shoes I would have screamed my lungs out for help or have tried to run away and tell them want such horrible things they are doing to me!Alphonso always told celie that she better not ever tell, that the only person she could tell is God. Celie believed that the best thing for her was to stay silent and try to be invisible. God is the only one who knew the pain celie was growing through, because God was the only she could talk to and pour her story too. She is a very tough women and I have so much respect and care for the pain she has been through and not to say word to

Jessie remained silent as Irish spoke of her beliefs. The concept was foreign to him, and he listened with curiosity and apprehension. Every religion, he had heard of so far in his life, left little to no place for women as an equal. He was more sad than surprised to learn that even the old gods seemed to be chauvinist pigs. Once a drastic change occurs in an individual’s life, they often find it difficult to relocate or recreate their state and situation before the alteration, thus, repeatedly struggle with what presents them in substitution. The bitter night Avah was killed the whole town was out celebrating. The Spring Festival was an annual affair and only the most isolated of persons would have not been there. It was a festival meticulously planned out by those intrigued in such matters and each detail was carried out to exact perfection. The Humphrey family would perform a skit each year at exactly six-thirty, the mayor would grace the audience with a well-planned speech at six-forty-five. At seven o’clock the potluck dessert would be brought out by the women and then once a half hour had passed, enough time for the people to converse with each other, the festival games would begin.…

I grew up with a Game Boy Color in my hands. No matter where I went, I always had the “Grape Purple” device loaded with any Pokemon game. My favorite was a copy of the Crystal version I bought with my allowance from a friend’s garage sale. He had failed to mention that the game didn’t save, but I fell in love with the whole experience of choosing a new starter that I just played it over and over again unbothered. It was the first time I had felt like I’d been transported to another world, and encountered the transcendental idea of fantasy.…

I distinctly remember having lost all feeling in my tongue and walls closing in around me. I remember sitting on my bed, feet dangling over the edge. Visions of my brothers, my nephew, and my unborn son flashed in my mind like lights warning me to not come any closer; for if I did, I would meet a similar fate. The light from the television flickered on our faces; mine blank, two shameful, and the last with rage. There is not a single noun, verb, or complex sentence in any language to describe how I felt that night.…

In the second grade, I had a crippling fear of my teacher, who loved to play, “Let's pick on all the students who aren’t raising their hands.” In my imagination, school was where carnivorous teachers scanned the classroom, looking to slaughter the most helpless creatures. And it seemed like this one had clear intentions of mounting my prized head on the wall. This meant that I suffered from a chronic case of rapid heartbeat, timid eye contact, and tense palms that left imprints of red crescent moons on my thighs.…
