iii Globalization is a term that came into popular usage during the 1980’s that describes
the complex, multidimensional, and controversial process through which goods and services, information and ideas flow from border to border, leading to an integration of economies and societies (“Globalization”). The fact is the first course of globalization came into existence during the mid-nineteenth century to the outbreak of the First World War (Srinivason, 1). Garrett
Wallace Brown explains, “…whatever globalization is, it is not something easily definable…”
(42). While the complexity may expose the system to large problems, it can help the system diversify and expand.
