What is global citizenship
Global Citizenship means that as citizens of the community, state, nation, and of the world, we have responsibilities to each other and carry these responsibilities to the Earth itself. We share our knowledge through volunteering, by advocating, through political awareness, to better the community sharing knowledge to make a difference. By reading the newspapers, watching the news on TV, or look at news websites to find out what is going on in the world. Sharing thoughts and ideas as we may do with our friends and co-workers, we can help come up with ways to make the world a better place.
What is the role of critical thinking in responsible citizenship
Using ones thinking that is clear, rational, open-minded, and informed and applying this quality or critical thinking skills in contributing to society and the community, using ones critical thinking in conjunction with sound ethical thinking or simply “doing the right thing” mentality. Putting the two together, thinking critically effectively based on what values one has and what is best for the people would be considered as responsible citizenship. Basically saying that ones actions when being a responsible citizen involve morals, open-mindedness to what’s best for the people as a whole. One person’s actions affect the majority, so therefore every individual’s responsibility is to act upon and be informed on what is presently good for the community, state, nation and world and acting in accordance to the greater good of all
What is the role of questions and answers in critical thinking
Questions define the agenda of our thinking. They are an important part of our critical thinking and when asked with clear, rational, open-minded, informed manner they determine the agenda of our thinking. Asking questions that have substance to them and contain elements that inquire about the intended goal or answers which give us answers that will encompass
