There are many people who are completely against the factory and its conditions. Robert Owens states that when he visited the factories he saw children starved, sick, injured and even some disabled from the gruelling hours at work, Children were working from 6 in the morning until 7 or 8 at night. These hours were not suitable or safe for anyone to be working. Mainly children, would get punished for breaking the rules.
