Hello, I'm Phineas but I'm now Eli Whitney's assistant. WOW! I know right I was thinking that I could tell you some things about me. I was born in 1772 I became friends/partners with Eli around 1793. I didn’t come from a wealthy family. But enough about me let's get to the good parts of my life when I was just becoming his assistant. Well it didn’t happen like that I had to try out and gosh was there a lot of people there. Let's get to it

''OMG IM SO HAPPY!!,'' I said excitedly.

''yes sir,'' I said. I went back home to my fiancé.
''Guess what,'' I said loudly
''What honey,'' Catharine said excitedly.
'' I got the job,'' I said
''yay,'' she said
''Now we can get married because we will have a lot of money,'' I said
''I know I'm so excited,'' she exclaimed
''I have a big day ahead of me,'' I said, ''I'm going to get some sleep.''
The next morning
*ring* *ring the phone rang and woke me up
"hello, and good morning if you could please come down to the farm I could use some help,'' Eli said
''ok I'll be there in about 30 minutes,'' I said
''ok I'll see you there, bye,'' Eli said
At the farm
''hello Mr. Whitney,'' I said
''please, call me Eli,'' Eli said
''so, what are we doing,'' I asked,'' wow what is that.''
''it's called a cotton gin,'' he said, ''it separates cotton fibers from cotton seeds,''
