Every time I go to cades cove I try to beat my time on finishing. So far I have beat my time once and that was the first time I actually biked the entire 11 mile loop. Each time I bike the loop I feel energized and have adrenaline rushing through my veins, I feel like it could never end, but eventually, it ends. In “The Sniper” and “Cranes” the main character is involved in a civil war that calls for allegiance to the government despite his feelings for a loved one who fights for the opposite cause. “The Sniper” and “Cranes” share similarities and differences in the plot, the characters, and the theme. Although, these stories are two similar pieces of literature and share many similarities, they both are unique from one another and consist of many differences.…

The movie started with the battle at Antietam Creek Maryland in September 17, 1862. This was the first battle Shaw served as a Captain leading about a hundred men. He was pretty proud of himself and his men until they reached the battlefield. Shaw like the rest of his men was much to be unprepared for the battle. Right after the battle started, Shaw and most of his men were terrified by the gunfire, many were shot dead and rest retreated with terror. Shaw got scared and lied next to a dead Union soldier’s body. Quickly he felt asleep. When he was waked up by a field sweeper, John Rawlins, did he found out that the battle has already advanced and he had been sleeping for hours. Of course he had lost the battle for the northern Federal government. To me, I really think the type of warfare that is…

In Chicken Run, he opening and closing scenes portray the chickens’ desire for freedom, which the director illustrates through the use of lighting, diegetic sound and non-diegetic sound. The artificial, dim lighting in the opening scene alludes to POW camps, making the viewers sympathise for the chickens and admire their determination and their desire to escape to freedom. Mr Tweedy’s torchlight creates a vector towards the Chickens and another intertextual allusion to the Great Escape and a POW camp. The slim light from the spotlight symbolises the chickens’ slim chance of hope of escape. This contrasts greatly against the closing scene, as the closing scene has bright, saturated sunlight to imply that their new life is full of hope and optimism…
