The Crisis At Chipotle

In big name businesses the fame and cash rolling in non-stop can’t always be good. Everybody makes mistakes just some are broadcasted bigger than others. The way that you take care of your mistakes reflects how you are asa company or person. This shows other people if they can trust you of this ever happens again and hopefully it won't. Unfortunately this is a reality for all businesses. For the past few years a crises has happened for most companies. The biggest one that stuck out to me was the Crisis at Chipotle. They kept quiet for a couple days which made people mad until they finally took action. Businesses should not try to let the problem pass until everyone forgets. Even if it’s 1 person that it affected, it can spread like a fire.
An example of this was with United Air Lines. Dave Carroll’s $3,500 guitar was damaged by flight attendants and they never repaid him back.. He made a video called “United Breaks Guitar” and the video was an overnight sensation. “...racking up millions of views and creating a tornado of negative attention for the airline company.” (p. 11) Stated from the passage the airline company offered to pay for his guitar if he took the video down, but Carroll said no. In a crises a company should be sincere with their customers because you don't know what they could do. Also they should take all the blame instead of making excuses so they don't create a bigger problem. During a personal crisis you can easily get frustrated and more likely to make mistakes. While facing a personal problem you want to seek help. Seeking help will benefit you in the long run because two opinions are better than one. You may make careless mistakes that will make the crisis worst. Also, having someone help you will create a less stressful time during a crisis. Having a crisis whether that is personal or in a business is tricky because there is different ways to handle it. Next time this occurs in your life just stop and think.
