The Dark Ages

Europe was in a dark age because of three reasons: The Crusades, The Black Death, and Government. The Crusades were about killing muslims because they were non believers in Christ and they did not let Christians make a pilgrimage to a holy land. A band of Muslims barricaded themselves into the Tower of David and fought on for several days, although they were granted their lives in return for surrendering. According to the Crusade Documents, it states “ In the temple of Solomon, men rode up to their knees of blood”. Secondly, The Black Death was a disease that killed a large part of the population of Europe from 1370 to 1380.
