The offerings are something very typical of the celebration of the Day of the Dead. Different dishes such as: Day of the Dead bread, sugar skulls, fruits, nuts, mole, tortillas, colada morada, and guaguas de pan are prepared for the celebration the dishes name mentioned above are some of the most important and they belong to the gastronomy of the Latin American cuisine. During that day, the government offices close; workers and students have that day to celebrate it. The celebration is very simple, people attend masses offered by the Catholic church, then go to the graves of their loved ones where they clean the property from the growing weeds and arrange it with flowers, candles and images of Jesus and Virgin Mary. “Many pray to them, others sing nostalgic songs such as: Amor Eterno (Eternal Love), Que falta hace mi padre, Viejo mi querido viejo, people cry for the absence of their dead family members.
