In the 21st century, we have experienced many changes worldwide in not only the U.S. but also in our global communities as well. Within the last 5 years alone, different campaigns were held for individuals to indulge in their own beliefs and practices that many would see as distasteful or outright disgusting. For instance, many have fought for same-sex marriage, abortion, prostitution, and the list can go on. These campaigns were created due to likeminded individuals who realized that we as citizens have the right to choose the lifestyle he or she wants to live, in a world that we know to be free. However, out of those campaigns, the decriminalization of prostitution seems to be the most unreachable. The question of whether to decriminalize or even legalize prostitution has stern quite the controversy, such as marijuana, in the world today.
