RFP is regarded as an important part for the success of the suppliers for their future business. (Blumberg, 2008). Before writing the RFP, the first thing should be done is to confirm and define the problem and needs. The RFP will begin when a department acknowledges a need. Writing request for proposal requires resources from many different parts, such as original documents, records management, IT support, budget and compliance (Porter-Roth, 2006).
Proposals can be clarified into two kinds, which are internal and for external audiences. An internal proposal is commonly completed by staff specialists, or the research division of the company. External proposal is generally generated by government agencies, grant committees, and not-for-profit organizations (Blumberg et al., 2008).
For one problem, there may be many different solutions and ways to complete it. The RFP contributes the vendors to response to it and provide adequate bid (Spencer, 2002). An RFP is a significant tool which can use to choose the best solutions, products, and services from several vendor offerings (Jim, 2013). So the RFD play an important role in helping the company to preferably choose the candidates and decline the potential (Mandell, 1986).
