Students are expected to be more perspicacious, and to many, the idea of technology downgrades a person’s intellect because it makes an objective easier to accumulate. Mark Bauerlein refers to younger people and states that “the intellectual habits that complement them are slipping” (Source 1). This is untrue because although the younger generation is more technologically advanced, this is not a element that downgrades their intelligence. They can use this component to their own benefit as for example, when trying to find the definition of a word, or needing to find a formula, one could search it up online instead of searching through a book which can be exceedingly time consuming. Such constituents are a helpful benefit that does not bring down one’s intelligence or makes a person “dumber” but helps with making a project easier which in all leads to the same
