Ken Kesey becomes widely known as the leader of a counter
cultural movement called the "psychedelic movement." Ken Kesey and The "Merry Pranksters" believe they have a new understanding of life when high on LSD, and they
want others to experience that with them. Ken Kesey's experiments have changed him as a person, and The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test is a novel explaining how drugs can

Before experimenting with LSD, Ken was a more innocent individual. Ken did not use drugs, and lead a very successfull lifestyle before his experiments. While Ken
was experimenting with LSD, he began to lose his composure and started making bad decisions. When Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters were busted at their house,
we see a more agressive careless attitude in Ken. "Kesey and twelve others including Babbs, Gretch, Hagen, Walker, Mountain Girl, Page, Cassady, and the Hermit were
booked on many charges, including possession of marijuana and narcotics paraphernalia, resisting arrest and impairing the morals of minors" (152). This quotation
