Introduction to Technology Technology is an integral and vital part of providing care. There are numerous ways that technology is used to provide, monitor, and evaluate patient care. Technology use ranges in the hospital vary greatly. For example, cardiac monitoring systems, vital sign machines, charting/documentation systems, financial systems, scheduling systems, patient portals, and so much more.
