Author's Comments: The students will be interested considering the age of Anne Frank and the visual stimulation you’re providing. Do not over lecture and make sure the questioning method used brings the children in touch with their own reactions to the material being taught. Have them share their opinions freely without judgment of others.

Diary of a Young Girl Books: 1 book/ child (ESL/LI students may have assistance while reading.

• I would use a smart board to take virtual tour the Auschwitz Concentration Camp and of a class discussion on Hitler's reign during Class 1 of the lesson
