Case Analysis I: The FBI Today’s organizations are constantly evolving as a result of the globalization of business driven by advancements in the information technology (IT) sector. These technological developments, coupled with an increasing global presence, allow for an effective communication channel with limitless boundaries. My primary focus would be on transforming the program’s organizational culture from one that distrusts technology and frowns upon information-sharing to one that welcomes organizational collaboration. In doing so I would attempt to eliminate any beliefs, or the perceptions that individuals hold about how things are done in their organization, regarding the use of IT (Pearlson & Saunders, 2013). Once any false beliefs, or misconceptions, regarding the use of IT in the FBI are clarified I would begin an initiative to better align the program’s espoused values with their enacted values. Espoused values are defined as, “The explicitly stated preferred organizational values” (Pearlson & Saunders, 2013, pp. 90). The organizational values should parallel an organization’s enacted values, or the values and norms which are actually exhibited or displayed through employee behavior (Pearlson & Saunders, 2013). Once these values are properly aligned I would then proceed to launch another management system. With an organizational culture now promoting enacted values that properly align with the program’s espoused values another launch of an IT management system should have a significantly higher chance of being
