Over the years Feminism has grown and taken the turn to pay equality and equal opportunity. A great example of this is the United States Soccer Teams. The Men’s soccer team is payed more per game than the Women’s team, even if they lose. Recently when the Women’s team won the World Cup, more people tuned in to watch the final than they did the Super Bowl. This brought in a monumental amount of revenue for the National Soccer Confederation, yet the women still were paid less than the men. The women of the team spoke out against this discrimination, bringing attention to the problem and inspiring a change. Of course, like any other movement, there are radicals and pacifist. The radical feminists are very vocal about their beliefs and disapproval of the inequality, showing hostility toward men. Meanwhile, others simply want to be treated equally. During the early 1900s, men were the bread winners of the house, but now the role has slightly changed with women make equally as much money as men. Women have become more free with their sexuality and men, in turn, have become less accustomed to commitment. The Feminist movement has also shaped the lives of many children in the United States. Many children grow up without family and strict family morals. The movement, which began as a way for women to feel more equal to man, has slightly taken a turn towards something different. In the beginning women wanted to make something of themselves and couldn’t do that because they were seen as inadequate by men. They took a stand against this but the radical feminist turned it into something completely different. When the Sexual Revolution began, women were, at first, happy because they felt accepted by men. However, as they soon realized, men began to see them as objects once more.
