“Man, woman sentenced in sex trafficking of 3 teen girls in Detroit” (1) Human trafficking is not just a big deal world wide it is happening right in our own home town. As citizens we definitely have to stop being so blind to the fact that this is a serious global problem. Stated in the report it was said that involved in this horrifying crime was a detroit man named Willie and saginaw woman named Tammy, they were immediately ordered to prison after federal sex trafficking and child pornography convictions involving three minor girls. The young girls were transported all the way from Mount Pleasant to Detroit with hopes of receiving cellphones, being taken care of, and new clothing. Helping the survivors will be a major factor. Knowing they may not automatically be back adjusted to everyday life, having that everyday help will be a major help. Realizing that most of human trafficking involves female children and adults this should give our local communities even more reason to want to stop this illegal business. Put yourself in the position of the victim and their family. You have to understand that is not something you would want to go through, so let's stand up and do what is
