Life is like a bumpy road and it tends to have many obstacles, which can lead to people not doing the right thing. Sometimes, people cannot even tell if they are doing the wrong thing. Imagine if in heaven people could learn lessons from other connected or related people in their lives. First of all, the lesson that Eddie learned is that there are no random acts in life. A quote that shows the lesson Eddie learned from the Blue Man: “That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind” (Albom 50). The quote from the Blue Man explains that acts happen for a reason so it can have another effect on someone else. Second of all, the lesson has affected Eddie because it made him regret a small choice he made because of how it affected someone else. A quote that shows how Eddie is affected: “Eddie shook his head. “We were throwing a ball. It was my stupidity, running out there like that. Why should you have to die on account of me? It ain’t fair.” The Blue Man held out his hand. “Fairness,” he said, “does not govern life and death. If it did, no good person would ever die young” (Albom 51). Eddie runs into the street to retrieve a ball, and the Blue Man almost hit him, resulting in the Blue Man suffering from a heart attack and then dying.
