Dream interception is the process of assigning meaning to dreams. Dream analysis is a method to psychological that helps the understanding that concentrates on the many discoveries of emotional signs and symbols in a persons dream. This tactic originated from the psychoanalytic school of psychology that was founded by Freud and Jung and undertakes that a persons mind and motivations withstand being effortlessly comprehended and that the symbols found in dreams must be correctly interpreted in order to increase an interpretation of a person’s internal mental workings. They proceeded to ask the participants how confident they were in the event of something happening to them before the age of three. In a result of this they found three important findings being they either got lost, were abandoned or found themselves lonely. The goal of the s study was to validate the measure of these experiences. 50 participants were randomly assigned to dream conditioning, where they received suggestive information. While the other half did get any information about what occurred during the dream. Out of the 25 who participated in dream conditioning, only 19 completed the three phases but the participants in the non-dream conditioning all finished the experiments. This part of the study concluded in 44 participants who were 21 years old and 64% of them were female. They returned to take further tests again after 3 to 4 weeks, the dream conditioning group thought this would be a different experiment but it was just the dream manipulation. Dream interpretation was done 15 days after LEI was done, they received a phone call asking them to be apart of a dream and sleep study.
