The Force In Star Wars Is Stupid And Immoral Analysis

In the article “ The force in ‘Star Wars’ is stupid and immoral” written by Ben Shapiro He states that “The vision of the force in the star wars galaxy is morality free its feelings centered wich another way of saying “selfish” who cares about your feelings?” I think the point of the force is that the light side is about using it to help others, and the dark side is about using it for yourself.
The key to avoid becoming a dark sider is to control your emotions, like a good political leader should. Control the power, don't let the power control you.You can, basically, replace the force with any "tool" you want. A gun is not evil. If you use a gun to kill Hitler, you're the good guy, if you use it to rob a bank you're evil. Shapiro then continues
to say that the morality of the force creates the worst possible sort moral equivalence. I think that people miss the point because a lot of them are looking at it politically. I would agree with ben that the force is regressive because it tries to imagine a future notion of morality. And the problem with amorality stems from the fact that it isn't connected to anything unchanging, permanent it is whatever the person wants it to be at the time and the ends justify the means it's whatever feels good at the time and the solution tends to be something that makes the bad feeling go away rather than fixing the problem that was caused in the first place.
