1. The four religious truths revealed in the two creation stories of Genesis are that there is only one God. Myths of that day taught there was many gods, but the first creation story states that there is only one God. Second, God planned creation. God created the world in an orderly manner to share his life with us. Third, everything that God made is good. God is pleases with everything, and human beings. Fourth, the Sabbath is a special day of rest and worship. We need to take time to worship and to rest.

God created man in his image. In the divine image he crated them and he created male and female. God said to them "Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all the living things that move on earth."

1. The meaning in "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" in the Adam and Eve story is it limits the man. We must recognize that man is dependent on his Creator, follows the laws of creation that give us freedom. God has certain knowledge that only God can possess.
2. Three effects of the sin of Adam and Eve are that they felt shame and guilt, which isolated themselves from each other. Their disobedience also pulled them away from God. They lost the grace of their original holiness and justice. Sin broke their harmony with the natural world. They experienced pain and suffering.
3. Protoevangelium means that God punished the evil one. It is God's promise that one day the devil will be destroyed by the offspring of a woman, which is Jesus Christ. In the First Gospel Adam would reconcile the world to God and then overcome sin and
separation.
4. The covenant God enters into with Noah destroyed the world by a flood. Noah then repopulated the Earth with his offspring. The sign of this covenant is the rainbow. The rainbow is a symbol of God's presence. It reminds us of God's love for us, and that our sins need correction and punishment. 5. The Tower of Babel story is when humanity's pride in trying to erect a tower that would reach the heavens. The story means that humanity sinned by trying to get to Heaven and then disobeying God's command and populate the earth. All humanity's wanted was to make a name for itself.
