For centuries, society has shaped these abstract ideas of what happiness means and how one could achieve happiness in their lives. However, in order to even understand what actions could lead to one’s happiness, one must be able to understand the definition of happiness itself. Having read Charles Dicken’s book Great Expectations, happiness persists as a pleasure or sense of a meaningful and rich psychosocial integration in a person’s understanding of himself or herself.…

So this paper is going to be about happiness and how I personally feel about it. I liked Switzerland and its utopian lifestyle. In Bhutan, it is required for one to be happy. I would like to live in Qatar, I find their luxurious lifestyle to be tempting, but I am afraid if I go there, I would lose my sense of self. Iceland is too cold, and I do not agree with their try, try, fail, and that are ok stich. Without success, one cannot have the drive to move forward and to preform actions that are productive. What goes along with that success is money, recognition, and self-pride. Moldova needs to get itself together; it is to blame for their funk. Their poor me routine annoys me so much; I will most likely not mention it in my essay. Thailand, I like their vibe of not sweating the small stuff, not so crazy about their tendency to let it reach a point where the cut of one another’s penises off. Not cool. Great Britain needs stop being so uptight. I am not a fan of any of their ways, so I’ll probably ignore them or use them as an example of what not to be. India, just finished that chapter, it seems like it has a lot of air pollution, but they seem like a fun bunch of people. Even the most destitute look forward to better days in their next life. I haven’t read about American yet.…
In The Geography of Bliss, Eric Weiner uses Iceland, Bhutan, and Moldova to reveal the necessity of cooperation and inconvenience, as these two factors ultimately determine each country’s respective happiness. He observes that a nation’s overall contentment increases when the people connect to one another or to nature by making compromises. He also explores the advantages of nationwide obstacles, as the shared inconveniences bring the affected people together. Ultimately, he discovers that cooperation and inconveniences largely control the happiness of a nation by helping people develop valuable social and spiritual connections.…
Happiness is an immense feeling of joy, content, well-being and satisfaction when something positive happens or when there is a good outcome comes about in someone’s life. Some important things consider about happiness is that it does not need to be achieved by external factors such as wealth and status. These are temporary ways to happiness, where the happiness will not last. Instead, happiness can be found in other ways that can last longer. It can be found when building relationships with others, and seeing growth as person. Additionally, another thing to understand about happiness is that you can achieve it during times of darkness. In the documentary Happy, we watched a particular woman face adversity. This woman had become permanently…
Happiness comes from within. Many people could be living in the same environment and facing the same challenges but some seem to be happier than others. No matter what one’s challenges are, it is one’s choice and decisions to live a happy and content life. There has been an unfounded belief that the rich are happier than the poor but research has given contradicting results. I cannot say that I have lived a happy life but after watching the “Happy” documentary, I am now ready to live positively and happily no matter what circumstances I am facing. I have realized that we make ourselves unhappy by complaining about the problems we face in our day-to-day life rather than appreciating the good side of life. We should focus on the positive aspects of life and try as much as we cannot to let the negative aspects of our lives ruin our happiness.…
The definition of what it means to truly obtain and achieve happiness in life has been explored by hundreds of philosophers over the decades. In spite of this being the case for the subject, not one of these philosophers have found an exact answer to such a question. One cannot measure happiness and its capacity. As a result of this, people have no choice but to determine their own judgement of what happiness is to them. This judgement can easily be affected by an individual’s situation and the problems that they will inevitably face.…

There are many ways that one can achieve happiness. Some achieve it through material things while others take home memories that’ll be recalled over and over. There are also many articles and poems that relate to happiness such as “Study: High Incomes don’t Bring You Happiness”, “An Overview of the Great Depression”, and “Truth”. The authors all share the same view point about finding the key to happiness. It is that people should look to the bright side of every situation instead of focusing on the economics.…

For centuries, mankind seeks to answer the question: Can money buy happiness? Therefore psychologists are exploring the relationship between wealth and happiness for decades. They came to the conclusion that money can make people happy if it involves moving from a state of extreme poverty into the middle class, but they do not have a noticeable impact in the future. It means that people feel glad and safe when they have enough of money to satisfy daily needs. It is important to understand, what really makes people happy besides the living routine. Jarod Kintz quotes “I think the key indicator for wealth is not good grades, work ethic, or IQ. I believe it is relationships. Ask yourself two questions: How many people do I know, and how much ransom money could I get for each one? ”I think it is safe to say happiness have many aspects. The real versions of well-being that plays out every day are the ones based upon an individual experience, perception and values.…
