The Giver By Lois Lowry Essay

The book Giver was a awesome book and in this essay I will be telling you why I think Lois Lowry wrote this book. the giver there is a lot of information that was included from her own personal life. She said in article that her dad has memory loss so she has to remind her dad some memories that happen a while ago and that is like the giver trying pulling back memories to give to Jonas. Why I think Lois Lowry wrote this book is because she wanted to show how seeing colors for the first time was very cool and she wanted to show how having everyone be the same it would be very boring and there would be really no life in this community. When Jonas went through the snow that is a white blanket he showed all of his expressions and how happy and how cold he was. She had to also deal with her sister dying and why I think she had released being dying in this community was because it is like her sister dying.
Lois Lowry is a great writer because she never tells you what it is she just gives you hints and then finally says what it is. She has the giver in the story to tell all the people who are reading The Giver that you can never lose memories and they will always be there sometimes might just be harder every time to pull back the memory but you will always have it. It is like her because she would have to remind her dad that she had a sister and then she would have to explain her sister to her dad until he can recall the memory and it is like the giver because he has to recall his memories to Jonas and sometimes Jonas might have to remind the giver about the
