In addition, in the process of achieving her one, true goal, Jeannette also discovered her true calling and developed a passion for journalism.
As a key member of her high school’s local newspaper club, Jeannette developed a growing desire and attachment to the art of writing and eventually envisioned her dream of one day becoming a journalist in the “Big Apple,” New York City. Subsequently, Jeannette, with her strong, resilient and invulnerable desire to create a better future for both her family and herself, rose to prominence and became the exceptional author, writer and journalist she is today. As a whole, this is why I have truly come to regard as Parts II and III to be my favorite: They presented Jeannette with cruel circumstances that allowed for her to become a fierce, focused and determined individual unstoppable in her dream to achieve a bigger, better and brighter future. The sacrifice and tremendous incidence of difficulty endured throughout these two parts truly immersed readers such as me into this phenomenal book. Furthermore, Jeannette’s strong attitude and response towards rough times is also pretty inspirational in that she decided, unlike most, to keep moving forward and create her own hope and belief in spite of terrible
circumstance. Overall, the hardships and difficulties Jeannette encountered throughout Parts II and III spurred a growing interest and desire within her true, inner self that allowed Jeannette to go from “rags to riches,” as they say. Coupled with the emotion and hardship expressed throughout these two sections of the book, it is clear why Parts II and III are my favorite - they both portray the true meaning of the book: The extreme desire to work and dream towards better times even through the toughest and stickiest of circumstances.
Staging, scripting and filming Parts II and III in a possible film adaptation of this memoir will not be an easy feat to accomplish, but can be done with the proper methodology and assistance from actual characters represented in the memoir. Firsty, to be able to precisely capture this film in the best light possible, help and assistance from Jeannette Walls herself can prove to be an enormous asset. Furthermore, with guidance of Jeannette, her siblings and mother can truly allow for the film to craft a script that would best correlate with the memoir itself and the true events that took place in Parts II and III. Also, to stage Parts II and III, filming should take place at locations represented throughout Parts II and III to accurately depict Jeannette and her family’s true living and working conditions all throughout those two sections. Conclusively, to properly create a film adaption of Parts II and III in the film, all of those involved in film production should use influences and inspiration from the actual text of the book and Jeannette Walls herself to draft a unique, interesting and eye-catching script and to shoot in the proper locations to precisely depict the Wall’s family living conditions throughout Parts II and III and how they allowed for Jeannette to rise above her pain and conquer her life.
