The Goonies: Movie Analysis

The Goonies is a comedy and adventure pirate themed movie about a group of friends living in the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Oregon, face foreclosure on their families' homes from the expanding golf course. The Goonies aren’t able to go anywhere because Brand (Josh Brolin), Mikey’s older brother, failed his driver’s test. This causes their hearts to sink. But while going through their attic, the Goonies stumble upon an old newspaper clipping, a map written in Spanish, and a doubloon relating to the myth of lost treasure left by the pirate One-Eyed Willie.
